इस्लाम धर्म क्या है? (Islam Dharma Kya hai?)

नरेन्द्र बहादुर सिंह द्वारा लिखित व ‘स्याही प्रकाशन’ वाराणसी से प्रकाशित यह किताब ‘इस्लाम धर्म क्या है?’ अपने शीर्षक से ही अपनी विषय सामग्री प्रकट कर रही है। पूरे विश्व में इस्लाम धर्म को कई सारी कुंठाओं और खराबियों के कारण जाना जाता है। यहाँ तक कि मांसाहार प्रथा व हिंसा को बहुत पोषित तथा प्रसारित करने के लिए भी इस धर्म की निंदा की जाती रही है। ऐसे में इस्लाम धर्म की अच्छाइयों और बुराइयों पर समग्र दृष्टि डालते हुए एक समीक्षात्मक पुस्तक लिखने का जो महान कार्य किया है उसके लिए नरेन्द्र बहादुर सिंह जी की जितनी प्रशंसा की जाए कम है। साथ ही नरेन्द्र बहादुर सिंह जो पीसीएस सेवा से अपने सेवानिवृत्ति काल से छः वर्ष 8 माह पूर्व ही त्यागपत्र दे देने का साहस करने वाले हैं।

कारण सिर्फ यही है कि समाज में व्याप्त भ्रान्तियों को दूर करना। यह किताब पढ़ने के बाद इस्लाम धर्म की समूल जानकारी से कोई वंचित नहीं रह सकता। यह किताब सिर्फ इस्लामी लोगों के लिए ही नहीं बल्कि सभी धर्मालम्बियों के लिए जो इस्लाम धर्म को जानना-समझना चाहते हों अवश्य पढ़नी चाहिए। इसे पढ़ने के बाद इस्लाम धर्म से जुड़ी अनेक भ्रांतियाँ व कई तरह की अन्य बातें साफ-साफ पता चलती हैं। लेखक ने इस्लाम धर्म की स्थापना, मोहम्मद साहब की कामनाएँ, मोहम्मद साहब का संघर्ष और इस्लामी लोगों की भूलों को भी साफ-साफ लिखा है। इसके दूसरे संस्करण का सम्पादन काशी के वरिष्ठ साहित्यकार व सम्पादक पं0 छतिश द्विवेदी ‘कुण्ठित’ ने किया है।
